AI Strategy, Systems & Innovation

A quick introduction is probably necessary: Dre isn't a lawyer. He isn't a paralegal. He isn't an employee of Meister Law Group. In fact, he isn't human.

Dre is the name we’ve given to the customized artificial intelligence that has become part of how Meister Law Group thinks, builds and innovates.

We believe technology is most valuable when it creates more room for people to do what people do best. At MLG, artificial intelligence may assist our team with appropriate tasks such as workflow development, internal organization, brainstorming, drafting assistance, business analysis, process improvement and research support.

But there is an important line we don’t blur.

Technology can assist our lawyers. It does not replace them.

Our attorneys remain responsible for their professional judgment and work product.

AI-generated information used in legal work is subject to appropriate human review and verification, and our use of technology remains governed by the same professional obligations we owe every client, including competence, confidentiality, candor and care.

For Jenn, Dre has also become something of a digital whiteboard: a place to pressure-test an idea, turn a late-night brainstorm into an actionable plan, question an inefficient system, or ask the question that drives much of MLG’s innovation:

“How could we do this better?”

Sometimes the answer is a better workflow.

Sometimes it’s a new idea.

Sometimes it’s a spreadsheet.

And apparently, sometimes it’s giving the AI a headshot.

The glasses and watch were non-negotiable.

How MLG Uses AI Responsibly

Meister Law Group uses artificial intelligence as a tool to help our team work more efficiently. It never replaces the judgment of our attorneys. We protect client confidentiality by using only tools and settings that meet our professional obligations, and we don’t share confidential client information with AI systems that can’t safeguard it. Anything AI helps produce for legal work is reviewed and verified by a member of our team before it is used, and every legal decision and piece of advice comes from a licensed attorney. Our goal is simple: use technology to spend less time on routine tasks and more time on what matters most, which is serving you and your family.
